Health Team

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 1 in 3 adults in the United States has high blood pressure, and half of them don’t have it under control. High blood pressure increases the risk for heart disease and stroke, the leading causes of death in the United States.

If you stay on top of it, you’ll do a better job of treating it. Occasionally, members of our Health Team are available after worship for blood pressure screenings.

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 John 1:2

Welcoming  Connections

With Jesus as our example, we should never be shy about welcoming others. Whether it’s welcoming friends into our home, visitors into our church, or just saying hello to a stranger on the street, as Christians we should display the welcoming attitude of God. Our Hospitality Team are the friendly people greeting you when entering our church on Sundays. Someone is always stationed at our Welcome Center to help you navigate the church and to answer questions.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry members are available after most Sunday services for special individual prayer for those who have a need.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. 1 Timothy 2:1

Youth & Sunday School Leaders and Helpers

As a community of Christ, Shepherd of the Hills takes the responsibility to teach the children and youth about the Gospel Message by studies but also through actions including dedicating financial Sunday school offerings, participating in caring for the needs of others. The congregation as a whole dedicates time and effort toward the education and development of our children. We rely on members of all ages, from different facets of life’s journey to teach our children and youth.

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13

Operation Christmas Child Packing Event

We want to share God’s love with kids around the world so, every year we work with Operation Christmas Child to pack hundreds of gifts to children in the poorest places across the globe. Each box is filled with school supplies, gifts and a book about the love of Jesus in the child’s native language. We work with other area churches to pack boxes and we are so fortunate to be able to be part of this wonderful ministry.
